For their projection onto the richly decorated town hall in Landsberg am Lech, built in 1719 by Dominikus Zimmermann, Hartung and Trenz explore the significance of art for the city and society, also on the occasion of “25 Years of Lange Kunstnacht Landsberg” (Long Night of Art in Landsberg). Numerous quotations and aphorisms by visual artists and writers, reduced to their core statements, form the textual material of their work. These texts are animated in video form, robbed of their legibility, and transformed back into images that enter into dialogue with the historic façade.
