ROSEGARDEN Castle Dyck

Light Festival Castle Dyck,
Castle Dyck,
Jüchen

The work ROSEGARDEN  in the architecture of the Castle Dyck uses 4LED projectors to project a total of 1200 different rose names as a static texture into the yard.
In this sum of name words, all kinds of word types and idioms can be found in the most diverse languages and language codes. In between we read names of places and regions from all over the world and personalities from art, politics or contemporary history of all epochs. All in all, this creates a vocabulary of its own, a world of its own for thinking and communicating, taking visitors into a associative landscape of words. The rosegarden becomes a symbol of the creation of the world through image and language.
