The open roof timbers of the Mohrmannhall in Oldenburg becomes
a synonym for town planning and planning processes, the themes
of the vision.Stadt exhibition. Load–bearing and aesthetic functions
complement each other logically within its structure. These attributes
are drawn together to form a context by the overall projection
on to the supports and braces in the roof timbers.
Shot and counter–shot in the installation convey the dialectical
approach of the city vision visually by the use of the polar terms
ÜBERDACHT UNTERMAUERT (ROOFED OVER, UNDERPINNED),
and by changes of viewpoint.
On the outer wall of the Mohrmannhall is a maze texture projected as basic structure of any communication and
planning. Upon entering the place the maze lightens itself and the words of the
concept field FIND CITY SEARCH CITY are readable.
