As part of the celebrations for the opening of the 2002/2003 winter term at the Cologne film school, the square in front of the entrance, the entrance itself and the stairwell in the Glückaufbuilding showed the FILMAB light installation, consisting of text projections the public interacted with. Carpets of text created by light covered up the architecture, structured it, played with it, comparable by association with PiranesiÕs image world. Lines and patches of text in light wound through the stairwell into the events rooms, leading and accompanying the visitors. The building bricks for the texts were small poetic sequences made up of juxtaposed, similar film titles, e.g.

DER WEG DER FREIHEIT (The Way to Freedom)
DER WEG DER VERDAMMTEN (The Way of the Damned)
